Dream to Be an Artist: How I am Living My Childhood Dream

Dream to Be an Artist: How I am Living My Childhood Dream

As a child, I always wanted to be an artist. Also, I dreamed of being an art teacher and having the potential to grow old and still make art.

The passion I have for drawing and painting goes beyond just self-expression. For me, it's a lot of ambition combined with a passion for manifesting visions that I have.

The creative process is always therapeutic. Making artwork is similar to creating music. Whether it is the written part or the beat production, I can see why music itself is a form of art.

When it comes to visual art, there is no limit to what you can do visually. With tools like Photoshop in the current day and age, your imagination is the only thing that limits you.

Limitless Possibilities Visually

I've seen some fantastic photomanipulation designs created in Photoshop. Similarly, I've seen phenomenal illustrations brought to life visually on canvases by artists.

It doesn't matter if you create digital art or traditional paintings. What restricts you from creating something beyond the ordinary is your mental capacity.

An Artist Living His Childhood Dream Not Realizing It

At the time of my writing this post, I am 31 years old. It never occurred to me that I was living my childhood dream until about four years ago.

Since graduating high school, I have lived at an artist residency, traveled across the country for art events, and sold several prints of T-shirts online with my artwork. Yet the thought never crossed my mind that I was living my childhood dream.

The awareness that I have to know this is a reality inspires me to be even more ambitious with my dreams. As a result, I have a lot of dreams and visions for my art. But unfortunately, my goals are not meant to be shared with the world, not all of them at least.

A Key to Self-Empowerment

But living a dream and realizing you're doing that inspires you to dream even more significantly is self-empowering. I've always been self-motivated and never needed much push to go after what I desire.

If you've read up to this point, I guess you were thinking about your childhood dreams when you came across this post or a video I share about the blog.

Live Your Dream

You might ask how you could accomplish your childhood dreams. Maybe you have already achieved them and didn't recognize them?

Whatever the case, there's always time as long as you have the breath of life within you. There is always an opportunity for you to pursue that dream. Life does throw all sorts of challenges and obstacles at us, but we must learn to persevere to overcome these mountains.

So if you are dreaming, I hope you will accomplish your dreams by taking an objective approach to bring them to reality.

Go after it.
